2019
2019 marked milestone birthdays for our loved ones--
**Besse & Elliott's 100th birthday; **Garry's 70th birthday; and
**Michael's 30th birthday.
We remember their smiles, joy and love with a donation of a "Gymboree" climbing center in a Jerusalem "gan" (preschool) where Judy regularly volunteers as "Grandma Judy".
Family Whatsapp messages--
April 20, 2019--100th birthday! And Passover!
Judy--Today would've been Grampa/Saba Elliott's 100th birthday. He would've loved all these additions to his beautiful family. ❤ Missing him and Grandma Besse-- wishing they were here to share in the joy of these delightful great-grandchildren ❤
What a rich legacy! How lucky we were!

Jeff--What a beautiful day we are waking up to. Dad would have been up since 5am, having walked through Wolfe Park and would soon be on his trike out and about, visiting neighbors and then on to our Seder today. He will be greatly missed.

Cindy--So true. For me, Passover was Grandma Besse’s holiday. All the work in the kitchen and then the kids would set the table with her Passover dishes. Then everyone would find a place to sit and the story would begin. Fond memories all over the place today and that Saba would have been 100 today makes it ultra special.

Judy: Today is the 4th anniversary of Grampa/Saba Elliott's passing. I miss...
--sharing with him news about myself, my kids & my grandkids;
--receiving emails, updates, interesting articles, phone calls;
--hearing about his day as he rode his bike around his neighborhood or sat outside at Starbucks;
--learning from him how to grow older with grace, style, energy & interest in new people & challenges. What do you miss?
Michael (Mpls): I miss driving around with him when I was six. How he didn’t buckle us in and let us (brother/cousins) roll around in the back like we were pinballs.
I miss the way he looked at all of us when he saw us am greeted us like we were the most important person in the room.
I miss him teaching us all to juggle and make make balloon animals.
I miss his totally devotion and how proud he was of our family.
I miss him telling me at the end. When I asked about him flying under the bridge, he chuckled and said that one stays with me, you’ll always have to wonder. I think he did it.
Most of all I miss my grandpa.
I also miss the August parties. The alpacas, the trampoline, the zip line. The other side shows. What I miss the most is everyone would sing happy birthday to him four months late/
Jeff: I miss the 52 dunking birds, the 12 or 15 boxes of wine (all different types), the puzzles, marching in a Holidazzle Parade in the band, all lit up, meeting many of his new friends (and wondering how many we will never know), I miss his advice and his inspiration.
Cindy: I miss the adventure of Dad’s personality. From my childhood to his final hours he had an impact. Grandma Lily, Grandma Besse, Saba and so many more people will be remembered and by doing so, the good memories of them become our blessings. Love to you all.
Miss seeing him nap on the couch (any couch.) How when we were kids he’d threaten to pull the car to the side of the road if we didn’t shush. He had that “voice” without volume that made me pay attention and finally, I look at a bathtub and think of his pure joy of them.
Andrea: My favorite about Elliott. When my boyfriend was out of town he'd come calling! 😂. We enjoyed many fun bike rides and trying new breakfast joints. I especially loved his stories. As we biked he'd show me places he lived, talk about his childhood friends and mischief. Just a lovely, lovely time.
