Various emails (2015)--
**There is something i would like to tell you about your father and my friendship. When David and I married almost 57 years ago, we faced a lot of resistance from his parents and mine and some other relatives, because of our religious differences. Your father, whom I had not yet met, sent me a letter welcoming me into the family. I have never forgotten how much this generous, understanding and sensitive action on his part meant to me, and we have remained good friends ever since. We emailed frequently, he stayed here several times, and he has to be the most creative and imaginative person with so many varied interests, that I have ever known. This is hard news, coming as it does so close to our loss of Lester last August.

**Amazing says it all. A one of a kind who helped so many. Your dad and Howie built a harpsichord together. Millie Segal
**I'm so sorry. I'm one of Lester' twin daughters. Elliott and my dad were so close. I loved it when Elliott was in town! More recently, I got the joy of sharing with my dad the letters Elliott wrote while my dad was in assisted living. He was a fabulous part of my whole life. My heart is heavy. Jamie Gottlieb
**My dad worked at Groves Kelco many years ago and met Elliott then. Both he and my mom considered Elliott one of their dearest friends. They always talked fondly of him. My dad was very concerned about Elliott when he heard of your brother's recent death. He was so happy and relieved to connect with Elliott by phone a few weeks ago.
Ed and Perk Stanko's daughter, Sandy
**Your Father was an interesting, informative and funny man. I was blessed to work with him and sell him rope. Jillian Rojas, AAmstrand Ropes & Twines
**You have been blessed with a wonderful legacy. He has launched so many lives. I am so grateful for the many ways he supported STEP and me in my position as director. May his good works continue, Jackie Olafson
**Even though I never met your dad, I sure feel like I knew him from hearing about the many and incredible stories of his escapades. What a life force - what a life lived. Sending a hug, Laurie Lachowitzer
**May it comfort your family to know the many hearts Elliott touched as he was kind, silly and so giving. A wonderful 95 years. Lisa Overline & The Hansens
**He gave me real nice bike. I will show you picture I will remember him by. Angie
**Your dad was an amazing man as you well know. Seeing him serving up samples at Byerley's always brought a smile to my face. He never failed to ask after my folks and always had such a twinkle in his eyes. His enthusiasm and joy for life was truly amazing and inspiring. I only hope I can have half his vigor, excitement, enthusiasm and joy when I'm half his age. May his memory be for a blessing and continue to inspire us all. My deepest condolences to your family, Raquel Briskin
**I wanted to let you know that members of the St. Louis Park Rotary and the "early morning coffee group" have donated a total of $1000 to start a scholarship fund in Elliott's name to be allocated to College Possible, www.collegepossible.org. We all miss Elliott, but of course, we are sorry for the loss of your father. We will all remember the impact he had on us all. Judy Goldetsky
**Thank you. I think of Elliott daily, talk about him – and TO him – often, and miss him terribly. His photo has been posted on my refrigerator since the Bat Mitzvah party.
Thanks for this website and thanks for keeping in touch. Love, Nancy Fursetzer
**Elliott saved my life, during our family's darkest times and was a champion for all of us. My mother, Miriam who is his cousin will be devastated as I am. He helped me become a better person, made us laugh with his drums and tuba playing. He was a bright light in a dark world, and a champion for those of us who have fallen from grace. We loved him dearly.
