MEMORIES
JEFF JACOBS (MAYOR OF ST. LOUIS PARK)
I am so sad to hear of Elliott's passing. There will be hundreds of Elliott stories but I can share one with you. Last year at the ice cream social Elliott was there entertaining everyone around, as he always did, and left near the end of it and went home. He left his signature, decorated recumbent bike there though. Everyone knew who it belonged to.
Shortly after he left, several young kids showed up who had not been there before and saw the bike. One of them exclaimed, " Oh, that's Elliott's bike! Is Elliott here!? Elliott's the coolest guy in town."
You know, if you're 95 and 3 juniors in high school think you're the coolest guy in town; you really are.
My deepest sympathies to you and your entire family. Our community lost the coolest guy we'll ever know.
